Should I buy a laptop or build one?

I am planning on getting a new laptop, but i can't seem to find one that will run games decently in my price range (around $600). I want to be able to run games like Rainbow Six: Siege at least on 30 fps, low settings, which my current desktop is able to do. The main problem is the graphics card. I can't find a laptop with a graphics card equal to or better than mine, the Intel HD 530, which was integrated into my processor. I want to know if I should attempt to build a laptop as the first PC I will ever build, or just buy a laptop and wait to build one. If you could also give recommendations on parts or builds that I could use it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You cannot build you own laptop like you would do with a desktop.

The Intel HD 620 (7th gen) / UHD 620 (8th gen) integrated graphics core should have similar performance to the Intel HD 530. The UHD 620 is simply the HD 620 with better optimization to playback 4k videos.

At the limit of your budget (before shipping & taxes) is the Acer Aspire 15 E5-576G-5762 for $600. However, it is currently out of stock so you need to wait. It has an 8th generation quad core i5-8250u CPU and a nVidia m150 dedicated GPU (the successor to the 940mx).

If you absolutely must buy a laptop ASAP...

If you absolutely must buy a laptop ASAP, then there's the Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-57D4 for $580 (before shipping and taxes). It has a dual core i5-7200u and nVidia 940mx. However, for only $20 more it is worth waiting for the above mentioned laptop with the quad core i5-8250u and mx150.
