should i wait for the price drop from the release of gen 11?

I've been planning to get the MSI GS65 stealth thin for 2000$ after upgrades from the 1700$ version on gentechpc. Now the thing is, I just saw something about gen 11 GPUs coming out in August. What I'm worried about is that there'll be a significant price drop after the initial release and I'll end up wasting a lot of money. So final question being, should I wait for the potential price drop from the release of gen 11 before buying my laptop?

While the GTX 11 desktop GPU series is being released in August 2018, the same cannot be said for the chips used in laptops.

According to Notebookcheck.net (they reference LaptopMedia as the source), laptops will not be getting the GTX 11 series until November or December. It seems Lenovo, Gigabyte, MSI and Asus are among the first brands to sell laptops with a GTX 11 series GPU this year and all other brands next year.
