Shutdown crashed laptop

Toshiba satellite laptop, windows 8, has crashed. Control alt delete is not bringing up task manger. I have no mouse. Is there a way I can shut down the computer down?

hello there you can hold down the power button for like 5 seconds and that should work or you can alterantively remove the battery if the power button doesnt work

or unplug the battery and power connector is that doesnt do it.
