I bought a siberia v2 frost blue edition headset. This version came with the built in USB sound card. When I plugged the headset into the front USB ports of my computer my friends on teamspeak 3 said all they heard was static, so I messed with the sensitivity in windows and in teamspeak and that didn't seem to help. So I unplugged them and plugged them back into my USB ports on the back of my computer which seemed to help a little bit but after a while it came back. I sent them back and I'm going to get a new pair hoping they were defective. If it happens again what might be able to fix this or prevent this?

Edit: I am running windows 7 64 bit

PC specs:

-I7-4770k @3.5ghz
-16gb ddr3 corsair vengeance pro 1886 ram
-2 TB seagate barricade HD
-256gb samsung pro SSD
- EVGA superclocked 770 2gb (2 sli)
-MSI G45-gaming motherboard
-PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk II 850 Watt powersupply

Keyboard:
Thermaltake Ultimate gaming keyboard with 2 USB slots. ( I use one for my mouse and the other also had static when I plugged my mic into it)

Thanks for all who reply

Could be your sound card, and if you dont have one, and you use Integrated sound, its probably interfering with your GPU. I'm assuming youve installed the drivers for the headset? If you get a new one and it happens again, you should probably get a soundcard.

Great soundcard here for less than 100 bucks: http://goo.gl/joizYf

Drivers for your The USB version of the Siberia v2 (What you have): http://goo.gl/vrcSr

If you havent installed the drivers, thats most likely why. I think the drivers include an app, and support for Surround. (Windows doesnt support Surround natively)

cheers
