Dell Latitude 5450
Intel HD Grapics 5500
NVIDIA GEFORCE 840M
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5600U CPU @ 2.60GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.6GHz

Lags significantly while charging. Browsing internet and playing games (E.g. small games like ROBLOX) is fine. Playing main games like Grand Theft Auto IV causes massive lag. When unplugged, runs like a dream.

Tried reseting BIOS to default. Kept BSODING with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR i think it was. Reverted BIOS back to it's original settings.

Fooled around with Power Settings, nothing changed.
Razer Cortex, nothing changed.

Please help!

(Also, if this is the wrong fourm, please be kind enough to move it.)

Thanks!

Most likely for some reason your laptop is using a power saver(or something along those lines) when charging, since there are different modes for charging and for battery (had similar problem). You should try uninstalling every power setting 3rd party program you have and install just a Dell supported one.

How would I go about uninstalling the power settings?

There aren't any "third party" power configurations, it's pretty much a fresh install, none that I know of anyway...

Old Threads die hard sometimes.

Update on problem:
I know it's an old thread, but I was fooling around and I discovered this. My integrated graphics run's smoothly, off and on battery charge. It's the NVIDIA one that gives me the problem, by the looks of it.
