Hi,
I have a Toshiba Satellite pro L450D (PSLY6E) laptop, and when I start up/ turn on the laptop it takes around 20-30mins to get past the bios and after when it is in the boot phase (loading os) it speeds and there's no problem, so it has to be the bios.

I've formatted it many times and no luck, and I've set the defaults in the bios options too and still nothing. Also I've went on the official toshiba website and they have no bios updates.

So can anyone help me please?
Any response is greatly appreciated.

Disconnect HDD and then go in to BIOS and reset to defaults.

Reboot and see how quick it gets to no boot device found.

If quick, then connect HDD and test again.

If still quick, corrupt bios, make your changes now.

If not quick, dying HDD, hope you made a set of backup DVD's.

Thanks for the reply, I did the steps you provided and the problem persists and I noticed no changes in the boot time.
