Small laptop with big battery help?

i am looking for a laptop for uni in September. I am hoping it will last 3 years. I have a gaming rig for home and a laptop already for home but its too heavy and large to be carrying across town and the battery is really poor.
i have up to £600 (GBP) to spend on it.
its only for Uni, no need to play games or stream movies.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
I just want something small and easy to travel with, with a big battery, able to use chrome and run word. I tried a tablet with a bluetooth keyboard but charging both parts seperate was effort and again not a brilliant battery.

Here's a review of the Acer Swift 3 with a Core i7-7500u CPU which generally uses a little more power than then i3 and i5 versions.

Battery life ranges between 11 hours when the laptop is simply idling, down to around 5.5 hours of continuous web surfing using WiFi. So when simply taking notes during class 7 - 8 hours of battery life seems possible.

The RAM is soldered into the laptop so it cannot be upgraded. However, the m.2 SSD can be upgraded should you want more storage in the future.

Acer Swift 3 up to 10 hours with light use. Real world tests range from 7.5 to 10 hours. Both of which are great. For basic college tasks probably closer to 10 hours. Battery 48whrs, 14" screen, 1.8Kg, 1.8cm thick

It has a larger battery, more ram and faster CPU than the competing HP Pavilion x360 (i3-7100u, unkown size battery but life similar to the Dell) and Dell 13 5000 (i3-7100u, 42whrs). Plus it has an SSD rather than a hard drive. So I won't bother linking those two laptops.
