Are there any applications out that allow you to send sms over wifi?

If you have an internet connection you can go to the web site of your
telephone co and send one from there...I did it once, but I would say it
depends on the nature of the telephone co's web site whether you can access
it via PIE

also, most providers provide a email to SMS gateway allowing you to send
text email to phone, and allow SMS users to reply to email addresses.
therefore you can simply use your existing email account over your wifi to
send sms messages.
US providers:
at&t (number)@mobile.att.net
verizon (number@vtext.com
etc......

there are also sms providers that will send sms to any number
worldwide... ipipi.com is one but it is a pay per message service.


the provider "gateways" and special email addresses are normally limited
to their subscribers only.
