so I found these old speakers in my garage, are they useless?

Are they completely useless or would they work ? I have 0 experience with speakers and wanted to ask if it's worth trying to build something out of them. I'd use this guide http/www.overclock.net/t/408347/how-to-car-audio-on-a-computer#post_4856172

In my opinion, they are trash. Even if you were an expert carpenter and were able to make a beautiful cabinet for them, they might still have magnet issues and definitely a pin hole in the paper. Then there is the issue of capacitors and such to make a crossover.

If you know any little kids, they might be fun for a kid's project.
