Question Software Utility To Toggle Display "Scale" from 125% To 100%

I'm looking for a software utility to toggle my display settings "Scale" from 125% back to 100% and back to 125%. I know how to do this manually but I have to see most items at 125% and sometimes that doesn't work on the highest resolution settings.

Here is the problem: I don’t have good eye site and have to frequently toggle my display “scale” settings because some software goes off screen. Then I have to change it back. It’s not a big deal if you only have to do it a few times but if you are doing it a lot, then it becomes a challenge.

I’m wondering if a software utility exists that I could have on my task bar that would allow me to jump back forth between display settings? If there is, it would be a great help to me and I can’t seem to find anything like this but I could have missed something.

I have found 2 AHK scripts script to use in with AutoHotkey v2 but it’s $29.00 per computer and I want to use on it on 3 computers. I’m not even sure it would still work with the next update and it’s more money than I can afford right now. Here is the URL:

the-automator dot com/downloads/monitor-scaling

If anyone knows of a program like this that is free or more reasonably priced, I would appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance.

I haven't used AutoHotKey in years. Otherwise, I'd probably write the script for you. I used to use it to change the primary display for my home theater from TV to projector.

For the record, AutoHotKey is free to download and install. It's just a matter of learning how to code the script to change the registry value for the scaling percentage. Something like

If scaling = 100%
set scaling = 125%
Else
set scaling = 100%
End if

IF YOU EVER ATTEMPT THIS, MAKE A BACK UP OF YOUR REGISTRY BEFORE YOUR FIRST ATTEMPT!

Wolf, I appreciate your reply. I know that it can be done but I don’t want to take the time to learn how to write the script for AutoHotKey2 especially since that is all I will use it for. I do know that it’s free and open-source. I might just buy it if I can’t find anything else but right now money is really tight with me. And this is what is said on their website: “AutoHotkey v2 aims to improve the usability and convenience of the language and command set by sacrificing backward compatibility. As such, scripts written for v1 generally will not work without
