Softxpand: Can I trust it?

i want to play some splitscreen games with my brother on my pc, i heard about softxpand or miniframe and was wondering if i could trust it and if i should download it or even buy it.

Clonezilla your entire HDD, or just OS drive, then restore it after trying the software you don't trust.

Make sure you have an application level (inbound AND outbound) software firewall running before you install it just in case.
