Solution to scroll lock and caplock lights blinking hp laptop not booting

My HP dv-1222nr laptop will not boot, scroll lock and caplock led lights constantly blinks. How can i solve this problem. thank you

Those blinking LEDs are giving you troubleshooting code about what is wrong with the laptop.
What is the blinking sequence?

Try re-seating your Memory Modules. Usually located under a door on the bottom of the laptop... one may also be located under the keyboard. Should have 2 slots total.

Re-seat those and also try using only one stick at a time.

Had similar experience... turned out to be memory.
When I reseated the memory my machine booted up OK
I was lucky... it was the extra memeory in my case - so was easy to get at.
If it was the core memory that came with the Lapop - its a bit more tricky to get at as I would have to remove Keyboard.

If your mem is really dead - reseating wont help - but certainly shoul dbe a first step for you to check.
