I've had a gaming rig for a while but need to relocate to a new city for work requirements. Its too heavy to lug around, so shall leave it home and buy a high performance gaming laptop instead.

Now, my budget is around $1400.

I will be buying this in the US and then bring it to India where I will use it.

I've done a fair bit of research and feel that a few ASUS and MSI models are providing the best specs in my price range. I am looking for advice from you all to narrow it down to one pick that I can take up asap.

Feel free to consider other factors apart from the specs, like cooling/overheating, sound, warranty and anything you consider important.

For pricing and specs, I have referred to Newegg and Amazon.

Here are the models:

1. MSI GT70 Dominator 895 - $1399. MRP: $2255. Specs wise, I feel it is the best in terms of Processor, RAM, GPU...

2. ASUS G750JM-DS71 - $1299 (Amazon) / $1319 (Newegg). MRP: $1399.

4. ASUS G750JX-RB71 - $1379. MRP: $2046

I had bought a SanDisk Extreme II 240GB SSD this Feb for my desktop. I would like to transfer that to the laptop I buy. I am assuming it is a plug-and-play type component with a slot at the back of the laptop. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

If you feel I should go for a different manufacturer or model, please go ahead and let me know. Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the advice. I found out that MSI has almost non-existent service in India now. They're leaving most of their operations here due to competition in most of their products with ASUS and Gigabyte. So, will have to go with ASUS...
