Some websites messed up

Hello. I have experienced this type of issue before on windows 7 on websites like youtube. Now I have windows 8 and whenever I logon to facebook.com it is all messed up. I'm using internet explored and I have tried it on the metro and desktop apps. I don't know how to describe it but I took a picture of it: http/i.imgur.com/PTRx2.png (I have crossed out some peoples names and profile pictures for privacy reasons of course) Thanks in advance and sorry if there is already a thread like this I didn't know what to search for because I don't know what this issue is called. I've already restarted my computer once by the way.

Try enabling the "Display all sites in compatibility mode" feature. Hit tools and select compatibility view settings, then check mark "display all websites in compatibility mode". Restart your browser and see if that does the trick.
