Keep getting message to turn off power and turn back on. Same message everytime I do this

What is the model of your Sony Cyber-shot camera? It sounds like you lens is stuck and not extending when you turn the camera on. Try checking the lens barrel to see if there is any dust or dirt in it that may be keeping the lens from extending.
