A more detailed description of the problem would be helpful. What is the model # of the handycam? Is it tape based or does it record to an SD card, memory stick, or internal memory? Does it record video or not record video? I only ask because of the way the problem is stated. Are you saying that sometimes it won't record and other times it will and when it does it won't turn off?
