Question Sony kd-55x8509c error

Hi all,

I’m hoping someone can help me my Sony kd-55x8509c is doing the following:

The TV was powering on okay but would error after Android logo saying unfortunately led / other items have failed. This would stay on the screen until I hit okay. After hitting okay the TV would reboot and same would happen again. This seemed to have started happening after an update.

I disconnected the power and main board etc and reconnected but same error occurred.

Now I don’t exactly know what point this happened but I believe it was after disconnecting the panel. I now have no backlights after reconnecting everything.

Tv now turns on but with no picture (sound is still working) no picture with flashlight either. Orange and green lights flashing.

Originally I was thinking main board due to the update and software crashes but now I’m thinking it could be power supply and that’s what was causing the errors. Normally you don’t get any power with power supply failures so very confused.

What do you guys think?

try updating the TV again

unzip and copy the firmware to an USB flash drive, insert the stick into the TV, wait until the TV reboots (up to 15minutes)

Thank you for this but unfortunately I have tried this. I think it might be new main board time.
