Sony memory stick pro duo showing format error

Hello,
Is there any way to save my pictures on my 1GB memory stick pro duo which indicates "format error" on my sony 717 camera?

Do you mean it reports format error like "the card needs to be formatted, do you want to format it now". Many people also met such problem but it is not difficult to resolve.
