Seriously, the only person who has never downloaded something illegally from the internet is the one who doesn't know how.

And I am pretty sure EVERYONE who comes to Toms have pirated staff at least once in their life.

And everyone is going to keep pirating because it's so easy to do and there is no consequence.

I'm no so sure that site has reliable data. I search all 13 IP addresses I own, none were found, except one IP that I don't use. It showed a download for some audio book on the economy 2 weeks ago. I can assure you, I have no interest in that subject, so it wasn't me. Unless Comcast handed someone else one of my Business IP's, that website has bad data or improper IP registrations.

I think they are doing torrents just to get IPs of peers to report to ISPs. Think about it. They put out a torrent, a bunch of people download it, they record the IP addresses, then contact the respective ISPs to issue a cease and desist message. It happened to me already once. How else would they have gotten my IP?

The Black Keys released "Lonely Boy", not the Black Eyed Peas. The shame that has been brought down upon The Black Keys being compared to that other crap band.

I don't ( got uk equivilant of netflix ) and I'm STILL AGAINST SOPA.

Unversal Studio's legal department wrote to my university with my IP address I know have to answer to the university's ethics commity. I have also taken my whole family to Universal Studios in CA twice in the last two years and I have 6 children. That will never happen again nor will I buy their movies again. BOYCOTT! Their loss, not mine.

so uh lonely boy by black eyed peas? i think thats a bit wrong... lonely boy is black keys

It's but one phase of a larger process. Don't forget if you seed material, you can see the IP addresses of all the peers that connect. Also as you're downloading, you can see the IP Addresses of the Seeds as well. By being both a peer and a seed on all the different pirated material available on a tracker, it helps them to gain information they use to build their case. Of course they need more than mere IP addresses, but as I said, just a single phase of a larger process.

HOLLYWOOD JEWS JEWING THEMSELVES?

OH WAIT, IT BECAUSE IT'S ALL FREE ISN'T IT?

Actually there might be a logical explanation for this. In my country, New Zealand, our stupid government has passed an act called the "Copyright Infringements Act" where if you are caught downloading copyrighted material, you may be warned three times, then fined up to $10,000. The New Zealand government and ISPs, however, play no part in the monitoring of downloads, it's up to the companies to catch people downloading their content illegally, so what Sony entertainment etc. do is they connect a bot to a torrent download to seed the file and connect to other users, if a user from New Zealand, or any country with a similar law, is found to be downloading the file, they can be reported to their ISP who will issue them a warning.

[citation][nom]De5_roy[/nom]LMAO hollywood entertainment corporations have bigger pirates within them!!talk about karma, justice, boomerang etc.this is proof that hollywood is the biggest pirate of them all. government should slap SOPA on SONY.[/citation]
"Hollywood" only exists due to theft.....but, much like "law enforcement" agencies....they hate competition....
