Ok, so, I found my old laptop Sony Vaio vgn-fz19vn in the attic. I want to restore it just for fun.
The issue is the battery seems to be dead. The laptop won't start up unless I connect the charger and shuts down immediately after I disconnect it. And there's no battery charging light on the side of the laptop when it is plugged in and it says no battery detected in windows, otherwise works fine.
So my question is the battery has to be 100% dead, right? It makes total sense, but I've read on the internet that this could also be caused by windows drivers or some incompatibility issues since my laptop originally came with Windows Vista but back in the day I installed Windows 7 on it.
