So that Sony SVF14NA1EL was dropped, screen was shattered and top left corner of the base damaged.
So I replaced the screen+digitizer, along with the DC connector. Laptop boots, but digitizer won't work. Power it down, verify I didn't miss any connection behind the screen, everything looks good. I think it might be the digitizer board that could be DOA.
So I take the one from the damaged screen, replace it behind the new screen, and leave the laptop plugged in for several hours to let it fully charge the battery. Once the charging led is gone, I unplug it and try to power it on. Nothing happens.
Tried the battery off button, removed and put the battery back in place multiple times, ensured AC adapter is good (green led on it), swapped the ram, checked all internal connections, fixed the old DC connector with solder to swap it with the new one, to see if it makes a difference, used "assist" button. No led, no fan spin, just nothing.
Diagnostic? Is now the motherboard dead?
