Sony Vaio VPCEE2M1E. Power to it, lpower light comes on and shows charging. However no other lights, fan etc coming on. Any id

Has power. Have tried without battery and it has power. Tried with battery and it charges plus has power. Makes a little noise when switching on but can't hear fan kicking in. Don't think it is a screen issue. Someone mentioned could need re-soldering or a graphics card. Any ideas much appreciated. Money short and data not backed up yet. Thanks, Andrew.

Could be many things. I've had laptops quit turning on due to bad RAM several times.
