I have a Sony Audio Video Control System Model STR-DE505 and I can only hook it up to my tv thru a head phone jack to the tv and red and white analog to the recevier. The tv speakers have to be on and up to hear anything. How do I fix this? Can i use a HDMI red white yellow adapter? HELP!

You should be able to turn the TV speakers off in the audio menu.
If you can't then using an optical to analog converter or an HDMI-ARC to analog converter should work since these outputs will be fixed volume. You can turn the TV volume all the way down or mute it.
