[citation][nom]x3style[/nom]This is prof of concept that no matter how big of a company you are you should never EVER insult the hackers community.I think until Sony publicly apologies for the insults directed at the hackers community they will destroy Sony. No matter how much security they put up it will never stand a chance in the face of the thousand brilliant minds out there.[/citation]

The hackers aren't only destroying Sony, but all the innocent consumers time, money, personal information, and identities.

From all accounts, they are nothing more than criminals and shouldn't be praised as such.

Going after the companies customers is really the only way to hurt a company like Sony. It sucks but it's true, knocking down an internal Sony server will bother Sony but doing something that causes their servers to come down and endanger their customers privacy really hurts them. Customers are just innocent bystanders caught in the cross fire here 🙁

oh come on now, lets not call them hackers shall we, they are criminals, they just so happen to be hackers, just like a deranged person who killed someone over a game can so happen to be a gamer (doesn't mean all gamers are potential murderers)

and yes generally speaking criminals tend not to care for anyone or anybody, they just want to make a quick buck....... kind of like Sony.....

[citation][nom]gm0n3y[/nom]Given these problems, the rootkit debacle, and others, it surprises me that people are still buying Sony products.[/citation]

This is the new NGE 2. No Game Enhancements

I have nothing against hackers doing this to sony. Except the part were they collect credit/debit card info. And from reports there have been people scamming. Now I don't know if that's true, but if it is these hackers are just as bad as Sony. It'd be one thing to crash their servers or steal the info, but it's another thing when they use/sell this info.

[citation][nom]11796pcs[/nom]I read that just before the hacks took place Sony laid off 1/3 or 200 of its people for online entertainment to try to get their books into the black, supposedly those laid off people may have caused this entire thing...[/citation]

If they were responsible, that was pretty stupid. When a company lays people off and gets its books back in order, it often re-hires many of those people. Attacking them and causing millions in damages greatly reduces their chances getting back into the company. Short of it being a horrible place to work, if I had been laid off and collecting employment insurance, I would be hoping to go back when they recovered.
