I wanted to hook up a sound bar out of my bluray player because it's all hooked up to a projector but when playing movies I need more sound but I plugged in a sound bar using a coaxial cable between the bar and the player and the sound cracks like crazy, what could be the problem.

Solution
By coax, do you mean RCA ? If the connection is full of dust on an RCA connection it can crackle. Turn it off and use some electronics cleaner in the port. Make sure it is dry before plugging back in and turning it on. If your player and TV support Optical audio you can buy a cable pretty cheap and have better sound.
