:hello:

Kindly I ask your attention.

Hawkeye22 is correct, more information would help for find it together! :D

Like Operationg System (OS), sound onboard (main board name and type and/or sound chip name and/or type) or sound card (factory name and type) and what you where doing, the procedure nearly step by step!

If you don't know witch hardware you have installed, you can download

SiSoftware (free edition).

Or,

Lavalys Home (free edition).

When lucky, the programs give you the link to the product manufactory website and/or to the software update website. ;)

Or, you have to search them on the net by yourself.

And when very lucky :pt1cable: (well, a lot have them), you can let the website check your system and it will provide you with the correct driver. Or, you have to download a little program that checks your system and shows you if you need a driver update or not. Mostly you can update from that little program.

For recording audio, you need a driver with a hardware.
What and how do you want to capture the audio?

With a micro phone you capture sound nearby. when using Line-In for audio record from whatever, you might need to set it too ad audio device configurations and ad harware configurations you can find out if it's enabled or disabled. When you can't find any there, you need to install it, when the audio card supports it. Or by webcam, than you need the correct driver for it and much more options if you like to know.

Yeah, information would be very helpful the next time!

Hopefully I let you known enough and that you will find the answers you seek!

:D Happy Hollydays & Best Wishes 2013! :D

When you go for that website to check for your driver, you need to go to the website of the manufactor. When lucky they have it ad there homepage for autocheck system online (or simular to that), or choos there Support & Drivers (or simular to that). You might find it there, or you have to type in the model you have and maby the OS you use. Some have more questions before guiding you to the website with the drivers. You will find the driver there, might be you have to choos and/or download auditional drivers from there. Make shore you read what it is, don't install the wrong driver. You might regret it!
