Sound from laptop to tv

hello guys im new just wondering if i join a vga converter to hdmi female then fit hdmi male to it then other part of hdmi cable to my tv will i get sound and vision thru my tv just as normal please can u answer in basic terms as im new thankyou

Hi,

Sorry to bring the bad news but I believe it is not possible to receive sound with a VGA cable even with a HDMI converter. DVI on the other hand is possible with certain cables. You only choice is upgrade your video card (if it is possible) that has a HDMI output or hook your laptop up with a pair of good speakers.
