Sound from tv through to surround sound

Hi guys

Im working on my home theatre, and i was wondering how i was gonna get sound from my tv to play down to my surround sound.

My surround does not have an optical - So is it just a RCA cabel i need?

And also, my pioneer box have some stations, what should that be on, if i use an RCA cable?

Chromecast or Apple TV? I have Mac but andriod phone

According to Pioneer you do have an optical input.

It would be best to use a digital connection when you can. Digital surround sound is better than the derived type you would be with a stereo RCA input.
If you TV has optical audio out use that and connect all you sources directly to the TV.
An HDMI input selector with audio extractor might prove useful to you.
