Solved! Soundbar Sony

Hi, I have a Tesla tv setup as a monitor and an old laptop connected to it via HDMI. I want to play movies on my laptop and have the audio stream from the tv to a Sony HT-SF150 soundbar. I connected the soundbar via HDMI ARC to the TV, but the sound quality is way better when I listen to music from my phone trough Bluetooth connection. Is there something I am doing wrong?

You can try changing the audio output of the TV to PCM stereo, Should be a menu in the TV to do that.

Hi, Thank you. I tried that. Is it possible that HMDI connection is bad also due to the connection to the laptop, basically the laptop is the audio souce?

There are two possible issues.
The first is that the laptop audio is just not good. You could try playing with any settings and processors in the audio control panel of the laptop.
The second is that the TV is messing up the audio. Not much you could do there other than bypass the TV for audio by using and HDMI audio extractor. That would let you connect audio directly to the soundbar.
