Speaker Problems

Hello, I always plug my computer to the tv to watch movies, but the last time I did it when I unplugged the cords my computer was making a funny sound. I restarted it and it went back to normal, but now I am not able to listen to anything anymore! What can I do to fix it?

if its making a buzzing noise like my desktop did, its because something is interfering with the sound cable. move the cable around and make it touch the most minimal of objects.

edit: than i realize this is in the laptop section, disregard this post.
