Splice 3 sound wires into 1 for PC

I have an old set of 5.1 surround sound speakers and my motherboard doesn't support it. Is it possible to combine the three 3.5 mm jack wires from the set into one 3.5 mm to fit into the green port on the back of my PC?

sure, just get a 3.5 jack from an electronics store, splice the wires to another wire a couple inches from the jack and there you are.
