Hello. Can somebody tell me if this SSD will work in this laptop. I want to add the SSD for the OS and keep the 1T HDD for everything else. If it won't work, can someone recommend a cheap SSD that is reliable.

MSI GE62 APACHE-276;9S7-16J212-276

SanDisk SSD Plus 120GB 2.5-Inch SDSSDA-120G-G25

Most SSDs are reliable. You're not really going to notice much of a difference from one to another if all you're planning on doing is using it for the OS. And yes that SSD will work with your laptop. All SSDs work with all laptops. Prices of SSDs are dropping to make room for the 1tb drives so look around a bit. Don't pay more than 25 cents per gig. You can get it for around 22 cents a gig. Just keep an eye out for deals.

if you have enough room for another SATA drive it's ok you could use :
SAMSUNG 850 EVO M.2 120GB SATA III Internal SSD Single Unit Version MZ-N5E120BW - extremely reliable and fast and most endurance with it's 3D NAND technology (also in M2.0 and mSATA form factors)

if you dont have another SATA port you should sell your old HDD and buy :
WD Black² Dual Drive 2.5" 120 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD Kit WD1001X06XDTL - 120 GB SSD +1 TB HDD fusion Drive from Western Digital with it's proven performance
