Solved! SSD not appearing in file explorer, even though my laptop has recognized it. What can I do to fix this?

A secondary SSD has been connected to my laptop via a caddy tray, but I can't see it in the file explorer. At first I thought it was a connection issue, but that is not the case. I looked at the disks in my device manager, and I found out that the SSD was connected to my laptop.

check disk management and see if it is there. maybe you need to assign a driver letter to it.
