The Stardew Valley “Wanted: Lobster” Story Quest is another one of the real world task quests, that the game throws your way. It is straightforward to solve, and also relatively straightforward. The objective of the Quest is to get a lobster to Gus.
Walkthrough
The quest will automatically trigger after you have read a letter from Gus. The letter should arrive around the 6th of fall. So, keep a close eye on the mail. The letter will simply say that Gus is asking for a Lobster.
To get a lobster from the ocean, you will need the following things:
1. The lobsters are pulled from the ocean, by using Crab pots.
2. A fishing level three. There are no hacks or shorts cuts to upgrading to better fishing levels. You will need to put in the hard work, and time, for the natural upgradation from fishing level one, to two, and then finally three.
3. 40 Wood. Wood is in abundance in the forest. The forest is located right on the boundary of the Map. You will need an ax to cut the wood properly.
4. 3 Copper Bars. Copper can only be found in the mine. Be prepared to spend a lot of time in the mine. In the meantime, you may get lucky and hit some copper.
5. The 40 wood and the three irons bars will form the Crab Pots.
6. You will also need some bait, which is readily available at the local fishing shop. The bait will cost you five gold pieces. Try to buy at least three baits.
7. Take a few of the crab pots, and toss them into the ocean. The best place for the crab pots is right beside Willy’s house.
8. Regularly check the Crabs Pots. It will take some time, but eventually, the crab pots will capture a lobster.
9. Snag the lobster, and take it to Gus (Gus can be found in the StarDrop Saloon, he spends the majority of his time there).
Congratulations. The handing over of the lobster will have completed your quest. Gus will show his appreciation by gifting you 450 gold coins. To collect your reward, you will need to open your journal (This can be done by either pressing J on your keyboard, or by clicking on the exclamation mark below the gold total. Once you are in the Journal, click on the reward at the bottom of “Wanted: Lobster.”
