Question Static in surround sound speakers

Hello: I have an Onkyo TX-SR703 receiver connected to my xfinity cable. All speakers on the 7,1 surround sound have bad static. I have disconnected all of them and connected one at a time, but each one has the same problem. I have tried different inputs and still have the same problem,
Any ides on what to try next?

Without more details I would say that the AVR will need repair or replacement.

Thanks for the response. What other details could I provide that would confirm?

• I have plugged different speakers in to the same outputs and got the same results.
• I have plugged the same speaker into different outputs and got the same results.
• I have plugged the tv into different inputs and got the same results
• I have plugged in different components in to the same inputs and got the same results

based on the above, I have ruled out individual speakers, individual wires, individual input terminals and individual components
I am not a audio person, but what is an AVR and can it be replaced by someone who is fairly decent with soldering and electronics?
