Emily Long...I retired this year in February, thus my income will be lower than the threshold for a married couple. How can we get a check given that they seem to be issued using 2018 Tax return information.

Thanks for responding, I reviewed that website prior to the first checks being issued earlier this year. My scenario is not handled in the FAQs/Use Case descriptions and as best I can tell, the non-filer approach won't work either, I seem to be an outlier situation, hope someone sees this that found an answer! https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payment-information-center#eligibility

then just wait for next year when you file taxes.
they use 2018 or 2019(if you already file) taxes return. if you work still this Feb. you should have file taxes for 2019
