Stop Messages from a User In a Group Chat In iOS 11

It is up to you whether you want to send a message to a person or ignore them if they annoy you. However, you cannot force your friends to follow your footsteps in this context, and they may add an annoying person while creating a chat group.
If you are added to any such group and don’t want to see the messages from a person you don’t like, here’s how you can block them on your iOS 11 device:
    Get to the chat group
Tap Messages, and tap the chat group that has the person you want to stop messages from. This opens the chat group and shows all its past and ongoing conversions.

    Get to the Details window
Tap the Details icon from the top-right corner. This opens the Details window for the chat group that allows you to manage the group’s settings.

Get to the person’s profile window
Tap the name or number (if not added to your contact list) of person you wish to block messages from (Avoid tapping any of the Video Call, Messages, or Call icons). This opens the person’s profile window that contains all their details.

    Block the person
Scroll down, tap Block this Caller from the bottom, and tap Block Contact in the box that pops up. This blocks the user, and keeps your phone from getting their messages in the chat group.

    Save the settings

Tap the Back button from the top-left corner, and tap Done from the top-right corner of the Details window. Even though the changes are saved as soon as you tap the Block Contact option (as explained in the previous step), this step takes you back to the group chat window.
