stop Samung auto turn-on

We have a Samsung 40" in our living room that is connected to DTV rcvr in the den, 25' away via RGB. Works perfectly. However, when we turn on the living room TV and DTV (RF remote), the den 55" TV also comes on because it senses the HDMI signal from the DTV rcvr. I'm all over going to the den to turn it off. Thinking of a powered HDMI switch that comes on powered from the AC port on the audio system, but I fear there is power in the HDMI cable that may pass through the HDMI switch whether it is powered or not. I sure could use some guidance on this issue!!

Your Den TV is detecting the DTV box turning on via the HDMI cable. Turning off the CEC function on the TV will prevent this.

OMG!!!!!! It works! Thank you so much. All the mileage I have logged walking (it turns out, needlessly) to the den. Yikes. Thanks so much for responding
