Stop Windows Mixed Reality Portal from auto-starting

So I'm fairly new to VR. Just built a new system (see specs in my sig) just for VR. Not overly concerned about performance. Just looking for a taste of the experience for now. and will decide later if I want to drop in a better graphics card.

The problem I'm having is that every time I go to a web site with embedded video (like just about any CNN article), the Windows Mixed Reality Portal starts up and transfers control of my system to my headset/controllers. If I'm fast enough, I can close it before it takes over completely.

I've searched online, but what I've found, so far, is only to disable at start up or removing it. I don't want to do this. I want it to run when I tell it to run and nothing more.

Anyone have any ideas?
