streaming from Amazon Prime and Netflix get red screen when video starts.

I have a Yamaha entry level AV receiver 5.1 that can stream 4k video. When streaming video from Amazon Prime and, sometimes, Netflix, I get a red screen that continuously reloads until I turn the receiver off. Problem cured when I turn receiver back on. What's up with that? Thanks.

I had a similar problem with an Onkyo receiver. It would correct itself when you powered it off and back on again. I had to do a factory reset and "clear" the system out. Sort of like you clear out the cookies on a computer. For my unit, it was done by holding the DVR button and pressing the On button, then it showed the word clear on the screen and the problem resolved itself. It hasn't come back since. Maybe your device has similar settings?
