I cannot get my Lenovo Yoga 710 out of sleep mode.

Details:

- black screen and keyboard

- charge light on

- power/start button light on

- no sounds

Troubleshooting:
- No response to mouse or keyboard inputs

- pressed and help power for 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, 90 secs -- the start button light turns off then when pressed again light just turns on without any other response.

- pressed reset button -- no difference

- discharged battery for 48 hrs (red blinkning charger light then no lights) -- plugged in and no difference, same problem

Special tools required to remove battery.

Any recommendations?

Solution
First you need to turn off the device. So either wait for it to run out of battery power, or do a hard boot to turn it off. Then try the following and see if this helps...

1. Go into "Control Panel" and click the "Power Options".
2. Next to the plan that is currently selected click "Change Plan Settings".
3. Now click "Change Advanced Power Settings".
4. Open the "Sleep Setting" and find "Hybrid Sleep"
5. Change/set it to allow.
6. Now click "Apply" and then click "OK".
7. Finally shut down and power up the computer.
