The guy didn't have to be an ass about the song, just because they managed to do what they asked doesn't mean he has to be so condescending towards the University of Michigan.

They should have done a redirect to the /b/ section of 4chan instead to give the maker of the site, something nice to look at, instead of an MP3.

This is classical systems testing. A secure system can be considered secure only all the details about it are known except the key, and it still cannot be cracked.

What where they thinking? anything can be cracked, and when you release the source code it's even easier and now they can't use that software at all. They should have started this competition a lot sooner and not give them the source and see what they manage to do. If they are able to crack something patch it and that's that.

Instead of wasting talented hackers on things like this, why don't we (as a government) say: "Hey there is a $1 million cash prize to put your fight song on any Taliban website" They'll get so sick of hearing the USC or Michigan anthem they'll kill themselves too soon to hurt anybody...

[citation][nom]micr0be[/nom]of course he's upset ... he wont have a job soon[/citation]He has just proven that he's an incompetent asshole who doesn't have the brainpower required to pump his own gasoline. In the government world, that sort of thing will get you promoted!

The reason they did it this way, giving the source code out and all was so the system could be hacked and the Military votes would have to be done the old fashioned way. Look at the state where it was done, and look at the voter discord and possible swap of seats of the Congress in both the House and Senate and so now they take away a way of voting from the Military that would be counted and puts them back to using a mail in ballot which we know has a much easier time of being thrown out. Remember that nearly all votes from the Military in FL were challenged and thrown out. Wasn't over 90+ of the oversea's military vote not counted in 2000. This was planned...

Small mistake in my comment... the location... Sometimes not a good idea not to watch TV and comment at the same time... but the idea is the same.

Hack The Planet!!!

Take that online voting, shame it couldn't be more secure to enable an easier method of voting for overseas citizens.

The voting system has always been subject ti fraud such as not counting vote in choice counties or districts and even fraudulent votes. Acorn is one of the best examples of this fraud such as paying people to vote more than once under different identities to even the names and social security numbers of deceased people. They payed illegals to vote using their ITIN# that the IRS uses to track more than 20 million illegals across the entire nation. The machines make only a deteriorating system even worse. America is a banana republic with a kangaroo congress and a constitution that now days seams to be written in pencil. The world it seams to be nothing more than a collection malfunctioning corporations. :s
