Hello,
URGENT: My acer computer (2 months old)all of a sudden does not recognize any of the two usb ports on the laptop. I am not a techie. I have a job I'm urgently working on. I beed help now, please. FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH, MY TECHIE BROTHER WARNED ME NOT TO BUY AN ACER,
 
Solution
Go to device manager (windows key + Pause break) and check your usb devices to see if there is an exclamation mark showing a problem with them or the drivers. Acers are good laptops, they use most standard parts of other machines.

If it's two month old then it's under warranty.... good luck with that if it's broken.

You could also try a system restore to see if it comes back.

If not it's most likely motherboard/port that has been damaged.

p.s. for my part Acer are descent laptops but costumer support for Hp, Acer, Toshiba are like government: almost useless :p
