Superfish Removal Tool is a lie?

When I checked my list of installed programs on my Lenovo Y50, I saw Superfish listed for a second. Then it disappeared from the list on its own.

I downloaded and ran the Superfish Removal Tool that Lenovo put out. It claimed that Superfish was not installed on my PC, and that no action was necessary.

Then I ran AVG antivirus, and it detected and quarantined Superfish.

So... Don't trust the removal tool.
I'll be nuking this factory install of Windows and starting clean as soon as I get my SSD.

Tell Lenovo. They supply 'compensation' - McAfee.
