My motherboard is capable of 7.1 surround sound so is it possible to get virtual surround sound on my hd600? (My mobo is b85m-d3h btw)

Solution
Okay so, pretty much anything is capable of simulating 7.1 surround sound.

It depends on what you're using it on.

For gaming, you can either toggle in-game audio settings for a surround sound, or you can download equalizing software.

For music, you can't force an audio file to be surround sound. It depends on how the file was recorded.

HD600's are a pretty good set of cans. Consider getting a DAC and an AMP for the best audio experience. Never buy a sound card.

Good luck!
