Surround sound

Hello,I have purchased a Blu-ray 5.1 surround system sound is fine when watching a dvd, however I cannot get surround sound through my t.v. when watching t.v. I have HDMI cable from blu-ray to t.v. and HDMI connected from sky box to t.v. What do I need to do.

You need to feed digital audio from either the skybox or tv to the surround sound system. You will need a digital audio cable of which there are 2 types - optical digital or coaxial digital. Which you use depends on what you have on the TV and surround system.
