Surround speakers question

I planning to buy my 4 speakers for surround, I have a Onkyo 7.1 90w per channel
So, should I get 4 of the same speakers , satellites or 2 satellites and 2 bipolar
This is for a medium size room

That depends on how you are placing the speakers. If the side or surround speakers are going to be to the left and right of the seating position with a least 5-10 feet of space behind the seating position then use dipole or bipolar for the sides and regular satellites for the surround back. If you are close or against the rear wall then I would suggest that 7.1 will not get you much improvement over 5.1. and maybe the money could be spent on better quality rather than quantity.
