My main living room also serves as my HT and also has a Martin Logan Cadance soundbar. Right now, my Sony tv's HDMI ARC is connected to my Marantz av7702 processor. However, I would love to be able to switch that over to the soundbar at any time.
Basically, I don't want to always watch normal tv through my big home theater, I just want soundbar sound. Using optical doesn't allow volume control and using the Harmony Elite sucks and my wife hates it.
In a perfect world, my tv would have two HDMI ARC jacks and I could choose which one it utilizes.
Anyone have any ideas? I have tried a couple of cheaper HDMI splitters from amazon and they don't work.
