Solved! Sylvania TV and DVD player

I have an old Sylvania TV and a new Sylvania DVD player no remote for the TV will the DVD remote be able to work the TV

The Sylvania DVD remote will only operate the TV if the remote has a TV/DVD device selector button on it -- otherwise no chance.

Even if the remote has such a button, it's not guaranteed to work for the TV if it's a very old TV model.

I agree with phillip corcoran. It must have tv selector button. You can check by operating it. Whether it is working or not. If its not working then you have to find a remote that compatible to your TV.
