Tablet/laptop recommendation

Hi

I hope someone can help me out!

I need to find a product that suits these requirements;
- Small
- Relatively inexpensive
- Must be able to handle 1024x768 resolution
- Must be able to use internet explorer 7
- Must be able to use Silverlight

I'm open to options, be it a laptop/tablet or even the laptop come tablet with the removable screen but I'm quite new to all of this.

Also, I understand Windows 8 would be the best operating system to go for with these but I can't find much on the market, can anyone help.

Hello Lozmachine,
I'd recommend that you wait until Windows 8 is officially released, it is in it's final stages before going for a final release. And it does sport better performance and is more tablet friendly than previous editions of Windows.

Do you know roughly when it will be released? Just done a quick google search and it was coming up October which will probably be too late for this project.

Yeah, it will most likely be released in October
Windows 7 was also released in October (2009) if I'm correct, So it comes to no surprise that they well keep that trend.
